The CardioLog Analytics team had a great time attending and speaking at this year’s SharePoint Fest in D.C.! Since the conference was extended from two days to three, we were able to meet more attendees and hear more speakers. With over 130 sessions, there were a lot of fresh ideas on how to maximize your use of SharePoint analytics.
The keynote sessions at SharePoint Fest D.C. focused on the importance of integrating security measures while still meeting your business needs. Microsoft emphasized how using cloud-based services and applications allow users to communicate efficiently without losing security. However, compliance and sensitivity concerns could be an obstacle for companies interested in using cloud computing. SharePoint Server 2016 overcomes this challenge by providing hybrid options for your on-premises services, so you can fully access all of the Office 365 tools.
Microsoft MVP Susan Hanley covered best practices for structuring your intranet to optimize users’ search experiences. By monitoring your SharePoint statistics, you can modify search queries that produce irrelevant information and prevent users’ frustration. MVP Jason Himmelstein had an informative session about how Power BI helps you to easily build and publish SharePoint reports.
Speaking at SP Fest D.C. was a rewarding and exciting opportunity for the CardioLog team to present our new gamification product. Gamify rewards and recognizes end users in a fun gaming environment that increases your employees’ SharePoint adoption. By accessing your SharePoint usage reports, Gamify targets those who use the platform less frequently and supplies them with objectives to increase their score.
Attending SP Fest D.C. provided the CardioLog team with new information on how to use the SharePoint portal to the fullest. Our Gamify session was well attended and we received helpful feedback that got us excited about the release of Gamify this year.
We’ll also be heading to Las Vegas next month for the SharePoint North America conference. If you’re attending, come see us at booth #323 and we can discuss your SharePoint analytics needs in more detail in Vegas.
